Update Zoom

At then end of class, use the File menu in Zoom to check for updates. Use the App Store to check for Zoom updates for iOS and iPadOS. 

Update OS

Settings > General > Software Update > 14.8 > Download & Install - just wait until after class

Touch ID does not last

Touch ID is sensitive to the moisture content of our skin or humidity in the air. After washing your hands, touch id won’t work if you originally set it up when you had dry hands. Touch ID might work differently during different seasons of the year. 

3rd party Wallet app

Appleosophy: California residents can put their vaccine record in the Apple Wallet app  

App Library in iOS 14.x

Swipe from right to left until the groups of apps appear. Search at the top and groups are curated by Apple AI. Tap the Search box to see list of all apps listed alphabetically.

Search - swipe down between app icons to bring up the Search box at the top of the screen and the keyboard at the bottom. Siri Suggestions reflect how you use your device. Type one letter and scroll down to see suggestions. Type three letters to narrow the search. The overlay screen will show websites, dictionary lookups, apps, Notes, and more.

Can turn off “Hey, Siri” in Settings. Press side button to invoke Siri.

Siri taps into online resources like Wolfram Alpha https://www.wolframalpha.com -  a wonderful resource with example queries from tons of disciplines. Spend some time here, it will up your Trivia game.
