Enable Do Not Disturb
Calls and Alerts that come when phone is locked are silenced
Moon icon appears in status bar (at top) when enabled
Set schedule to turn on and off automatically at specific times
Allow important calls and urgent calls
Notification Center
Pull down from the top of your iPhone to view Notification Center
Select what you want displayed - Go to
Settings > Notifications Center

Scroll down to identify the features and apps that you want to be notified about when any activity takes place
